We are on the road again

We start our travels 10 years ago when our home was destroyed by the five hurricanes that when through Florida in 2004.  We decide to hit the road and see some of this country before we could not do so because of out health or some other thing came along. 

We manage to get to Medina Texas before having mechanical problems with our truck.  We were going to stay long enough to get the truck fixed, then we would be on our way.  That was the the time Katrina hit the coast, and gas when up.  Our motorhome gets about four miles to the gallon.  Well gas never came down, and one thing and another we have been here for 10 years.  Not saying I haven't loved it, we have, but it time to move on.

We have been living in a home for almost 10 years.  We have to clean out this home and put most of it in storage or sell it.  Are main problems now is that our motor home has been sitting for ten years?  What are we going to need to get it running again?  We know it will need all new tires, and new belts and hoses before we take off.

Once we get everything squared away here with the house and the motor home, we will start our trip to Florida. Both the wife and I have family in Florida. We may stay there for the winter, but that is not to say we will stay in one place.  There are many places in Florida we would like to see.

Once the weather starts to warm up, we will leave Florida and head where ever we want. My wife has never been to the eastern states. So, we may head for Connecticut, Rhode Island, lobster country. Then from there we will head west.  I would love to see all of the national parks, along with most of the other tourist traps.  Just enjoy life to its fullest, see what we want, stay as long as we want, a dream I am sure is shared by others. 

I am sure there will be problems along the way that we will have to deal with, but that is the way life is.  Thou, we have made good friend over a flat tire.  Camper sticks together, to help each other and they can tell some of the biggest stories.  

When you travel or do just about anything these days, money is one thing that comes to mind. Being a writer and photographer,our hopes is to pick up some gigs along the way to at least give us gas money,so that we can fulfil our dream.
