Cycling TV of Another Day of A Fantastic Solo Breakaway at The 2010 Brooksville Cycling Classic Race

The 2010 Brooksville Cycling Classic races brought the best of the best bicycle riders in crit and road racing in the state of Florida to this amazing weekend of bike racing.

The Brooksville Cycling Classic was a weekend of two challenging cycling races, both with exciting and fantastic solo breakaway finishes in the Pro1,2 racing field and Chavez Cycling TV was there to film the action.

The second day of racing, after Saturday's rough and tough criterium, was a 65-mile road race on a hilly, 16-mile racing course.

In the Pro1,2,3 field, over 100 cyclists competed for 4 laps. Although there were many attacks throughout the race, the peloton stayed together until about 7 miles to go when two riders broke away, but due to the challenging terrain one of the riders cramped and had to pull out of the race, leaving one rider on a solo breakaway all the way to the end of the race.

Freddy Matute, a 19-year old from Miami won the race on a solo breakaway, passing the finish line 8 seconds ahead of the first chase group, where Daniel Chavez from Tampa and Antonio Quintero from Miami sprinted for second and third place.

Getting second place in this road race helped Daniel Chavez earn enough points to finish 2nd overall in the 2010 Florida Cycling Points Series.
