The Mystery of the Insider Bat Revealed!

Training tools come and go, but there are those that will stick around for good. One that has been around for some time is that of the Insider Bat. Its simplistic design may lead you to assume it is not a powerful tool, but once you use it, you will be surprised at the results.

What is it?

The Insider Bat is made from stainless steel and quality aluminum. It is specifically designed to improve muscle memory for batters. When a batter performs the same movement repeatedly, they create more effective nerve/muscle connections. These connections will continue to improve each time they are used.

How It Improves a Player's Mechanics

This training tool is extremely effective, but you have to use it the right way. For batters, it can:

  • Help emphasize the palm up and palm down positioning before, during and after hitting a ball.
  • Create instant feedback for the batter as well as the coach.
  • Train hitters to not roll or sweep their wrists before and after making contact with the ball.
  • Promote a better grip on the bat for more control.
  • Emphasize a player's ability to stay inside the ball before and during hitting.
  • Be used anywhere for practice (indoors and outdoors).
  • Force hands in front of the bat head during swing.
  • Improve pre-game drills or improve on-deck swings before a player's turn at bat.

Most importantly, this is designed for all player levels, from beginner to seasoned pros and collegiate players.

This tool has several components that improve a player's swing, including:

  1. The "Sweet Spot" - This is designed to tell a player if there is a flaw in their swing (offering instant feedback).
  2. Shaft Angle - This promotes a player's ability to keep their hands in front of the bat head and prevent them from rolling their wrists during the swing.
  3. Shaft - The aluminum shaft creates an erratic ball flight when a player casts or sweeps during their swing.
  4. Trigger/Handle - This is specifically designed to train a player on proper alignment of the hands during their swing. The trigger portion will automatically remind players where their hands must remain and is ideal for one-arm training too.

Sometimes it takes just a simple tool to improve a player's hitting performance. By receiving instant feedback, players can quickly adjust and correct issues with their mechanics, thereby, being able to achieve faster improvement. It promotes proper grip, hand placement and swing path throughout the swing.
