1912 New York Highlanders

New York Yankees, previously known as New York Highlanders, are among the most celebrated teams in the baseball history. Over their past 100 years in the sport they have remained consistent with the choice of their wear. The white pinstripes have been their uniform of choice since 1912. NY interlocking on the chest is one of the major highlights of the uniform. Pinstriped uniform, introduced in 1912, was worn by the players on rotational basis till 1915 but since then it has become the official and permanent uniform. 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers

The 1955 Dodgers uniform is the first baseball team to feature numbers of players embossed on the front of the jerseys. The uniform was introduced in 1952 and had some modifications done to it over the next few years. "Los Angeles "was added to the chest in the year 1959.

1906 New York Giants

Fans remember the 1906 uniform of New York Giants because of two reasons- its good looks and political reason. The team boycotted the 1904 World Series and when they took part in the tournament in 1905they won the title. So their uniform after the event had the words "World's Champions". The uniform is admired for the different look and team's attitude.

1903 New York Highlanders

We are talking about Yankees again but it was 10 years before the team came to be known by its present name. Half button down collar on jerseys was a common feature at that time. The navy blue away uniform with NY across on either side of the buttons looked quite hot with striped cap.

1927 St. Louis Cardinals

Uniform worn by the team at present is very much similar to the one that was worn by them in 1926. Two birds sitting on a bat close to the either edges were also there on their 1926 uniform. The same year they won the World Series. They also made some significant changes to their uniform by removing one bird from their logo and the word "World Champions" around the logo on the left chest. The striped baseball pants and jerseys are considered one of the most famous uniforms in the sport.

1917 Chicago White Sox

In 1917 the White Sox had three versions of pinstriped uniforms. The regular version had "S" in capital and "o" and "x" in small letters. Another striking feature of the uniform was the national flag on the sleeves as show of patriotism due to the World War I. Besides this appealing uniform, they also wore a similar version of the uniform but in solid white shade. This attire also became quite famous then.
