Your Guide To Indoor Basketball Hoops

2016/7/27 15:40:07

Regardless of age, for those who want the opportunity to play basketball no matter what the weather conditions are, access to an indoor basketball hoop is essential. The following are a variety of indoor models that may be of interest to you.

Wall mount indoor basketball hoops are fixed to the wall, but that doesn't mean that they can't be repositioned when the gym is being used for volleyball or many other sports. If you want the greatest flexibility in your gym, have a look at the FoldaMount46. When you need to make extra room, simply move it to the left or the right against the wall.

The Hurricane system is built for indoor basketball games. It can be installed in any gym or leisure center; it's strong enough that it won't collapse even when players dunk and hang on the rim. It meets the standard of the National High School Federation, which requires a 96" offset from the base to the backboard. This model also offers attractive features such as a tempered glass backboard, a thick padding placed on the front, back, and sides of the base for added protection to the players. The 180-degree breakaway rim gives on the sides also for better performance.

One other good-quality portable indoor basketball hoop is the Fury. This unit is perfect for elementary schools where kids are still developing their basketball skills, as well as for those adults who are joining recreational leagues. You can position the Fury in whatever place you desire, and the height adjusts infinitely from 6'6" to 10 feet to accommodate players of different age and skill levels.

Another good indoor basketball hoop system that can be conveniently adjusted is the Rampage. This relatively cheap system can be adjusted by cranking the handle until you obtain the needed elevation. Thick vinyl padding helps to ensure the safety of the players while playing. The 30" extension is far less than some of the other indoor basketball hoops, but it's sufficient for youth basketball. If necessary, the height can lower down to 6'6". Also, it's portability allows it to be stored away from the court.

Regardless of budget or playing arrangement, you can find an indoor basketball hoop to suit your needs. For gyms where multiple sports are played and space is limited, a wall mount is a good option. A portable hoop however offers the most flexibility.
