Jeremy Lin will have bigger impact than Yao Ming

Not often does the NBA world have an end of the bench player go from total obscurity to owning the NBA, but that is the case for the New York Knicks Jeremy Lin. Lin has said and done all the right things since becoming a starter including thanking Yao Ming for paving the way for Asian players. 

Yao might have paved the way for Asian born players but Jeremy Lin will take this to the next level. Part of the reason Yao did never become as big as anticipated was injuries from his just pure size but Lin on the other hand is very rugged and should not have near the problems staying on the floor. Yao always depended on others to get the ball to him but Lin has the ball in his hands more than 60% of the time. Lin also has huge advantage with English as his first language he will be much bigger star in the United States. 

Lin has not been given near enough credit for his athleticsm and leadership of a below average Knicks team. He is getting it done in spite of below average surrounding cast and with a spot light that not many have faced since Michael Jordan retired. Lin has maybe the best vision of any young point guard since Magic Johnson and this ability matched with his intelligaince will carry him to heights that no other Asian athlete has ever reached. 

Some hate or get tired of the Lin or Tim Tebow stories as their faith is much more in the forefront but for me its refreshing to see athletes stand for something that are youth can truly aspire to be. Lets just hope with success Jermey Lin does not forget this and continues to be a great story. 

As for our prediction Jeremy Lin will be a SUPER STAR going forward not just in Asian countries but World wide. Get used to seeing Jeremy Lin's face as the endorsment world is going to go nuts for him not just in the United States, Nike and others will pay thru the nose just to say Lin uses their products.
