Why Jeremy Lin Will Lead The New York Knicks To The NBA Championship

2016/7/27 15:41:49

Jeremy Lin will lead the New York Knicks to the NBA championship. There is no doubt about it.The reasons are plentiful. First, Lin will help his mates play to their highest level. His crisp, timely passes will put Carmelo  Anthony in a position to showcase his talent better than ever. Carmelo will dash for back-door passes and relish one-on-one opportunities.

Plus, It's easy to picture Amare Stoudemire down low in the post grabbing one Lin entry pass after another. Lin will provide the spacing Amare needs to excel. Add to this the Knicks' ability to score on fast breaks. Lin will make the smart decisions necessary when distributing the ball. He has a coolness and confidence that the  Knicks have not seen at his position since Walt "Clyde" Frazier. Plus, he has the courage to  take the big shot, as he displayed earlier this week. I'm sorry, but directing teammates  to hug the baseline in order to clear the way for a jumper as the clock ticks down can only be characterized as "Jordanesque."

Lin will lead the Knicks to the championship because he has nothing to lose. He's not suppose to be this good. Not so long ago, some would have said he doesn't belong here at all. But Lin never said that. He waited for his chance and took advantage of it when it came. That's inspiration not only for athletes, but for so many in a struggling economy.

Lin will lead the team to the NBA championship because he has put "team" back into the Knicks. Let's face it, passing has not been a Knick strong point for many years. Close your eyes and you can hear Marv Albert now,"Frazier dumps the ball into Reed. Reed pops it over to Lucas. Lucas dishes to Bradley in the corner. Bradley shoots-Yes, and it counts!"

Of course, Lin's biggest obstacle may come from LeBron James and the Miami Heat. That's right, Lin may have even restored the rivalry. And there's nothing that Knick's fans would  like more than to see Lin make Lince meat out of those Heat.
