Liverpool's Kenny is Unhappy with ‘Irresponsible' fixtures

2016/7/27 16:04:53

The Reds manager Kenny is unhappy with irresponsible fixtures and scheduling, as there is one just a two-day gap between Premier League and Carling Cup.

Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool manager has criticized fixture scheduling as his side prepares for a second game in three days of span, due to TV scheduling and Wednesday public sector strikes

However, the Reds drew 1-1 with Premier League leaders Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, as Dalglishs' Liverpool will make a move to all the way long to Stamford Bridge for a Carling Cup quarter-final clash with Chelsea on Tuesday. However, the Premier League refused to move the game with City forward at short notice. As with the trade unions strike taking place this Wednesday and also Tottenham's Europa League match at home to PAOK, the Metropolitan Police were unable to move the League Cup tie.

After trying all possible ways the Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish, is still furious with officials for making the irresponsible fixtures and scheduling matches so close together. During an interview with the TV channel, Dalglish told, forty-eight hours is a bit irresponsible for the people who have organized the dates of the matches. And it is not just with them but it is also the same case with Man City.

Dalglish went on to explain that to ask any team or any players to play two games with high intensity in 48 hours is a just too much and lot more is bit of a joke. He also insisted that he cannot understand why the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) has not yet altered a word. It's very difficult to understand why the PFA don't come out and say something.

Reds manager Kenny also said that they know they have got to accept it although they don't agree with the fixtures and scheduling of the matches, and it will not be any affect on the application for a give an also no excuses as they will not be taking any match for granted and will be playing with their full strength.

He also admitted that there will be one or two bumps and bruises he would have thought, and maybe one or two missing. But, they have a strong squad and they have made required changes in other Carling Cup matches. It will be a late shout because they have to give everyone the best possible opportunity to recover. As they have sold out tickets for the match, they know what is expected from the fans, and the players know what is expected of them to deliver the so all we they can do is try perform their best and see what happens.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has blamed Liverpool's players for getting striker Mario Balotelli sent off in the 1-1 draw at Anfield. Balotelli has been dismissed 18 minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute for two bookable offences. City manager Mancini had no argument with the first for pulling back Glen Johnson, but it was adamant the second for catching Martin Skrtel with an arm was unjustified.
