career in USA

Question
Hello  Martial! My name is Stanislav. I am Russian. I play the second season the Junior "В" in USA.I am 19 years old.I have started to play hockey in Russia and have passed the big way to sustain a competition and to get in junior league in USA.I am the defender, 6"3 and 198 .In a following season I wish to try to play as the professional. I long searched for ways as it to make, left on different agents.Recently I have signed the agency contract with the agent from Czechia.Which has offered me minor pro-leagues.For me it is next step to rise above, I am ready to a competition, I see the purpose. I know that it difficultly in twins because I not the American. Martial, whether the truth that my nationality can be an obstacle of achievement of the purpose?I understand that a competition very big, but for that time that I am in America all American coaches at which I played high opinion on me that allows to me confidence to build career in USA.
At me still a question.
After the termination of a season I usually go тренероваться in hockey camp in Europe. But camp term very short, Where in USA I can thoroughly be prepared ?
Мartial, whether correctly I have made that have signed the agency contract?
I do not have experience in such affairs and it is necessary to hope for decency of the agent only. Hockey - all my life!
Best regards!
Stanislav

Answer
Hi Stanislaw...

Unfortunately I do not have any personal contacts with US agents per se.

Here are some links to more Junior Hockey teams that may be able to help you - which you can play for till you are 21:

In North East US you can try EJHL - (A good Junior A tier II league) http://www.easternjunior.com/

There are many other leagues as well...  at varying levels like Junior B and Junior C... you can check out www.usahockey.com for the links to theses different leagues...  they will be posting their tryout dates in the coming months as many will start recruiting within a few weeks of their season's end!

Here are few more:
http://www.nahl.com/
http://www.ushl.com/
http://www.cshlhockey.com/

You almost have to have played some Junior A hockey to have an easier time getting minor pro contracts in the US.

If you have any other questions - please let me know!

Thanks and good luck!~
