Loud squealing noise when turning...

Question
Hi My son just received a new pair bauer Vapor x60's (he has always used them)
the store sharpened them and when he got on the ice as soon as he would make a transition from forward to back, the skates would make a loud "squealing" noise.almost like a trumpet noise when the skate skids on the ice. I was told that the sharpening was badly done..so i had them resharpened by knowledgable person and it still does it on occasion

what could it be ? the x60's juniors blades are molded on , so it cant be a loose blade.

Answer
Hi,
I had this happen to a pair of CCM Vector's a while back. Sometimes if you get them sharpened and the person doesn't get the edges even they can make that noise. I'd try once more getting them sharpened to see if that solves the problem. If that doesn't work, I'd contact Bauer if they're still under warranty... there might be something wrong with the holders.
Hope this helps you
Good luck
