How to play

Question
Dear Mrs. Blatt:  I recently registered at a new high school and have become interested in playing volleyball.  Now my problem is I have never played in my life.  I have however played in PE where I'm ok compared to most of the other students.  But I decided to sign up for the conditioning which starts Monday.  I 'm really nervous however because like I said I've never played and I know I'll probably feel stupid compared to all the other girls who have played far more longer than I have.  So my question to you is, do you think they'll review basic procedures on the game and how to pass, hit, serve, etc.?  If not then maybe I'm just not cut out for it.  Thank you, Erica Taylor

Answer
Erica--Every school is different so I can't tell you that they will for sure work on the basics in the beginning.  I can tell you that we always do and would think they would too.

What year are you?

No one can make you feel stupid unless you allow them to.  SO DON'T LET THEM!  All any coach asks is that you try hard.

Sorry it took me awhile to reply--I was out-of-town.

Good luck!

Marie
