How to catch freshwater gar

Hi,

I would suggest using a leader due to their sharp teeth. Also if you're using live bait, make sure they have time to swallow it because if you try to set the hook to early you will miss it. I'm sorry I have only caught a gar on one occasion when bass fishing in Florida.
