Great Lakes Inc. rod and reel

I read your answer to the question concerning the Great Lakes pear shaped rod and reel combo.
I also have one. It belonged to my grandfather and I remember him using it. This one is also stamped with the patent number of 2299156. It is chrome on the bottom and black on the top. Do you know of anyone that restores them. If not is it possible to find parts?

You can pick up "parts reels" of off ebay if your patient and watch for them - ebay allows you to set up a search and will notify you by email as they appear.

You can also post a request on the bulletin board of ORCA (Old fishing reels collectors association)
