setting up a league schedule

Question
Is there a way to set up a league schedule with A, B and C players where A plays A, B plays B and C plays C. We have 18 players (4-a's; 6 -b's and 8 c's and some of the c's could really be D players). We can schedule 14 weeks. How can I do this and still put out foursomes? - If three somes would work, I can do it.
Thank you.

Answer
Dear Anne,

I'm not sure I have enough information to answer your question.  If you want your "A" players playing against other "A's", you have the same four people playing every week.  Two threesomes of "B's" would work and you have a little variation with pairings.  Your "C's" would be paired in two foursomes each week and also give you some variety in pairings.

But I have a feeling that's not what you are truly looking for.  Try again with your question and perhaps I can be more helpful.
