Check out the above 2 links.  I often see that changing foot strike will get rid of pain below the knee. Experiment with it.  The key is to find a foot position that doesn't hurt.  I often change my foot strike a little during each run.

Think "light and easy" when you run.  You want to be a light runner.

If this doesn't help let me know.  Good luck Rohit!

QUESTION: Thanks a lot Mr Nick for answering. I changed my foot strike but its not working. Even before running, for the past few months i was feeling mild pain. Now its been more than a month while running, the pain is not decreasing. I also take testosterone injections. Could that be a reason? The pain is in the shin and knees mainly sometimes in thighs also. Please suggest what to do

ANSWER: I'm sorry it's not working Rohit.  Taking testosterone definitely changes this.  That produces a lot of stresses and changes in the body which is likely why the pain is moving into your thighs some as well.  Are you lifting weights a lot also?

I suggest seeing a physiotherapist if you can.  He or she could see if there is anything else underlying that I can't find via writing back and forth.

QUESTION: No i don't lift weights i just run,do some push ups and normal stretching. I also talked to the doctor who gave me testosterone injections to increase testosterone level and he told me that athletes also uses the same injections and they run without this problem. I fear the pain might be because injections are taken in the left bum. And i am sure that pain is far more in the left leg than right one. So could it be this reason ? Now the pain is more in knees.

Answer
It is possible you are hitting a nerve with the testosterone shots.  Your pain is puzzling. It's definitely different than common questions I get on this site and other things I see in person.  I strongly suggest seeing an orthopedic doctor or a very good physiotherapist.  They need to ensure it's nothing more serious than typical running pain.  Changing your foot strike should change your pain.  If it doesn't then it is not because of the forces of running.  If your pain is not because of the forces of running then there is another cause.

Please let me know if you have more questions on this. I'm sorry I can't help you more on this site.  If you have more questions about who you should see or other symptoms that I you think I should know or other problems don't hesitate to ask.
