iam a biginner at running

Question
iam 14 and a freshmen at tulare western in ca ...and i got into a sport called x-country ...how do i get better i dont want to be the slowest one on the team but were joging long distances and sometimes i cant catch up ...may i please have some basic tips that every bignner should do thanx for your time --⒕⒕⒕

Answer
Do not get frustrated if you can't catch up right now to the entire team.  Everyone is at different levels & different abilities for the team, and you are the same.  What I mean is that it will take time to get in XC shape for the sport, and it doesn't happen overnight.  Discuss with your coach if there are other ways to help you out in getting into shape faster.  I don't know what height or weight you are, nor do I know anything about your past exercise history, which can all play a part in how much you are able to get into decent shape for XC season.  Your coach can help you out more than I can through the internet.

I hope this helps you well,
