Running and Breathing


Question
I'm 24 years old, 200 lbs, 6'2'', fit/muscular build and d I've never really gotten in to endurance sports, except for biking.  Just recently I've started to run on a regular basis.  I've been doing roughly 2 miles a day every other day, but after the first 2 or 3 minutes, I just get completely out of breath.  I've tried breathing rythmically every 3rd stride, and breathing through the nose and mouth, but nothing seems to get my breathing under control.  I don't feel like I have a lack of energy and I don't feel any lactic acid buildup, but I just can't catch my breath and I begin to try to breath in too much air, but it never seems enough.  Are there breathing techniques I can practice to help this.

Don't worry,your oxygen transport system will adapt over time.That is your vascular and arterial pathways.Don't try and fancy breathing system.Let it happen automaticly.
What you have to learn and practice is running confortable,and if your confortable you won't be out of breath.You are probably running to hard and your pathways can't handle the rush of blood which is where the oxygen comes from.Blood is 85 percent water.Now you can see how important hydration is.Just back of the pace a little and you will see a big differience.It takes time for the body to adapt.Be patient Justin.It will happen.
