High Pressure tanks

2016/7/22 10:36:35

Question
I was just getting informed about DIN vs. Yoke regulators.  The answer said use DIN on high pressure tanks.

What pressure range constitutes a high pressure tank?
Thanks,
Henry

Answer
Henry,

The cut off for HP tanks is generally 3000 psi.  The yoke style regulators are rated up to 3000 psi, but many people will use a DIN valve and DIN adapter on the regulator because they will go back and forth between higher pressure tanks. Tanks above 3500 psi will require the use of a DIN valve and DIN equipped regulators.

BTW, great name!

Hope this helps,
