old skateboard

Question
I have an a red wood skateboard with steel wheels & a foot brake. The front edge of the solid wood is drilled for some type of rope handle that is missing. Can you help me identify the correct rope handle so I can look for one? It is faintly labeled in white paint but I can't read it all(American------).I'm of the home made skate board era & I would have killed for this board then.Thanks!

Ok brotha heres the deal, I used to have this book called The Concrete Wave and I would look it up for you in there but I don't have it anymore but anyway you should try that it has pictures of lots of old skateboards so try that it should have your board in there.
