Windsurfer Board Repair

2016/7/22 14:39:21

Question
I accidently put a 1/4 inch puncture hole below the rocker line in my HyFly Magnum (Polyprophlene) windsurfing board.  The hole is small and it is forward on the board but below the rocker.  How do I repair it?  Any suggestions?

Answer
Hey Hugh,

I've included a link to order Ding Stick. A two part epoxy that is very easy to use. Just cut off what you think you need to fill the hole and then mix it together with your hands. Using rubber gloves or similar is recommended. Once it is fully mixed, you will have about 5-10 minutes to work with it. Take a small amount and roll it into a tube shape and stuff it down into the hole. Try to fill at least the depth of the shell. Then press some more on top and smooth it out. You can sand it smooth in about 24 hrs. It usually dries white and if you are okay with how it looks, just leave it. If you feel you want to paint it, use appliance enamel spray paint.
