Choosing the right equipment

Question
I want to start windsurfing again, and want to buy a new
board/rig.  I used to windsurf on a longboard many years
ago, where I could waterstart, jibe, etc. (all in slow
motion on that board).  I am 5'7", 140lbs, and will be
sailing in an area range between 5-20 knts. I was looking
at a BIC Techno 133, and 6.5m sail.  What would you
recommend for my size/weight?  Thanks.

Answer
Hey Alessio,

You may find that board a bit less stable than the old longboard but your sailing skills will return to you quickly. You should be able to grow into the board very quickly. For the conditions you describe and your size & abilities, it should work well for you. If you find yourself having problems, check out windsurfingmag.com under instruction for a lot of great help with short boarding.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
