Answer
Hey Ray,

I really doubt that you will find the exact replacement parts for that old of a system. It looks like the pivot joint needs to be replaced. I've included links to the parts that should work for you. You will need to buy the bogejoint and two of the studs. You will have to buy two lock washers and lock nuts (the type with the nylon inserts) to fit the studs. They will be metric threads. Just insert the studs into the rubber joint and then attach your two pieces.

The third link is another option to replace your broken part. It comes with all the hardware you need. Just bolt your parts onto the new joint. Take a look at some of the other mast base parts on the Windance site to see the options and also a pic of what the above joint looks like assembled.

If you want to change the part that goes into the mast, you can with no problem. Changing to an adjustable mast base will give you more versatiliy in sail sizes.

I hope this will help your friend get back on the water.
Keep on sailing,
