treadmill excercise

Question
Hi there,
I bought a treadmill severalweeks ago, and I can't believe I have no instructions or reccomended usage.
My question is...what is the best routine..and should it be once a day? I was doing 15 min twice a day....now doing half an hour once a day. While I feel like I am gaining..and try to increase speed weekly, I am not at all sure I am getting the most out of it. I haven't even dared to approach an incline...just doing a mile in 26 minutes now..and keep going for the full half hour..hoping I will increase distance as time goes on. Yet not even sure this is the goal I should be working for.
Any suggestions?     Thank you.....Jean

Answer
Hi Jean
Most only give warnings, the care of it etc.
You sound like your doing ok.
Work a month on how far and how fast, then start to slowly incline.
Do not be in a rush for the incline gets to the back and calfs real quick.
Set your own goals, I do and then work for reaching them.  Let your body tell you.  If your over doing, you will feel it, you should be working up a sweat some also.  Do a warm up and cool down also.

Kind Regards
Patt
