starting competitive diving

Question
Dear George,
I am wondering how to get my daughter involved in diving.  We live in Folsom, CA and I have searched the internet for competitive diving clubs in our area, finding zero information.  My daughter is 6 1/2 and is involved in recreational gymnastics.  She recently taught herself how to do a front flip off the one meter diving board.  I think she might enjoy diving, but do you know where we can find instruction?  Is she too young?  If so, what is a good age to begin?
Thank you for any help or advice on this!
Elizabeth

Answer
Elizabeth--
Six is a little young, but with a gymnastics background she may be ok.  The best place to check for teams in your area is to go to USDIVING.org.  Go to the bottom of the page, click on Site Map, from there go to find a club.  Then click on CA in the dropdown list.  There are a few clubs listed in your area.
Good Luck,
George

Sorry about the website.
Here is the correct one: www.usadiving.org
Again good luck
George
