On the Hunt For Swimming Lessons in Singapore

Actually, when you are talking about swimming lessons in Singapore, you are really spoilt for choice because there is a wide range and types of swimming lessons that are available for individuals of all needs. It is just down to recognising what your needs are and how busy you are - which would be able to help you decide what kind of swimming lesson that you need. If your schedule is quite flexible and you are pretty alright with mixed classes, then many of the local CC's all over Singapore offer this service to you for pretty cheap price. At once or twice a week, they give you the ability to learn from a licensed instructor in a fun environment and there will be people of all ages within the class.

Mixed classes are alright and they allow for a good environment for learning, although some might say that the approach can be quite diluted because of the size of the classes. They can be quite large, with some of them sporting up to 15 individuals at a time and they concentrate only on the basics of swimming. Of course, these CC's also offer advanced classes but they only build on the basic techniques of swimming and step up the difficulty. This is alright if you are looking for a casual option to learn swimming. But if your time table is really packed and you only have nights to learn how to swim, you might consider joining a health club or a local sports club. Some of these clubs operate on long hours and have trainers and instructors that operate well into the night, which is a great option for the busy executive or those of you who are working odd hours and schedules.

Of course you are paying a higher price, but the difference is not that great when comparing with that of CC and there are a whole host of facilities that you will have access to. Not only that, but the classes will be much smaller and you will be able to enjoy greater attention. This is probably one of the more popular options for people and adults working, as they are able to plan their own timetable and it is pretty flexible in a sense that they do not have to stick to certain days. Also, there are more facilities besides that of the swimming pool that they can enjoy as well. On the other side of the coin, there are those of us who live in apartments and have our own swimming pools, which means that we already have the facilities.

There are a group of private swimming instructors that come over to the apartment and train us on a one on one basis and this is the best option if you do not like to travel out of the apartment to learn and would like to learn solo. But of course, with this option, there are costs to consider and you will be paying up to 3 - 4 times what others are paying for group courses
