Kids are fond of swimming pool toys. You should know梱ou were once a kid. If you have kids who you like spending with in the pool, you should invest in toys. The most common of these toys are floating rafts, inflatable balls, snorkeling sets, and inner tubes. Kids would love to be in the swimming pool more if these toys are with them.

While you can head for the nearest pool supplies store to buy toys for your kids to use while swimming, keep in mind that not all swimming pool stuff for your kids are safe. Some manufacturers sell stuff without adhering to safety standards. A lot of cases of injuries that happen in swimming pools are caused by toys, although not all of them are due to faulty or cheap swimming pool floats or toys. Many cases of these injuries are also due to negligence and carelessness.

1. Never leave your kids unattended. Even seemingly harmless rafts and balloons can cause accidents. Children love to dive on and off rafts, especially when you leave them alone. This behavior of kids can cause them to get trapped underneath the raft. Kids may also fight over toys and balloons and may injure themselves. The rule is to not leave children alone in pools.

2. Read instructions that come with pool floaters and toys. Manufacturers have safety precautions for users to follow to avoid accidents. Instructions may include inflating the toy and storing it when not in use. A lot of buyers do not read these instructions though.

3. Orient kids on how to properly use pool floaters, accessories, and toys. As a parent, you should educate your kids regarding proper usage of pool supplies. Only through education can kids learn what should and should not be done. Train them to wear safety gear before getting into the pool.

4. Kids should be wearing arm floaters or life jackets. If your children cannot swim, they should be wearing floating devices. Some parents think that inflatable tubes are enough. Inflatable innertubes are popular toys kids use in pools. These tubes should not be used for kids who cannot swim.

5. Check floaters and life jackets before putting them on your kids. They may have holes in them. Holes and slits on floaters and life jackets make them dangerous for your kids. If an arm floater loses air while on water, the kid wearing it will be at risk of drowning.

6. Do not scatter too many toys on the water surface. While it seems attractive to strew toys on your pool, too many stuff on the water can spoil swimming experience.

7. Store toys after use. Inflatable swimming pool stuff and toys should be deflated after the pool hour. Dry them and store them in clean storage areas. It抯 wrong to leave toys in their inflated state. Winds can blow them off the pool to the ground. Unattended inflatable toys are at risk of having scratches or punctures. Children may also be lured by toys floating on the pool and may try to pick them. Thus, left toys may pose drowning hazard to kids.
