Just because you are leaving many creature comforts at home during your camping trip doesn't mean that you have to be totally uncomfortable. A variety of camping chairs are on the market today that will have you sitting pretty and comfortably after a tiring day in the great outdoors.
Gone are the old aluminum framed chairs with the nylon strips for a seat and instead, there are camping chairs with steel-enforced frames and cushiony polyester or other weatherproof materials along with a few bells and whistles that will easy the ache of weary bones.
Variations to Sit your Bottom In
These days, virtually all camping chairs fold up easily and fit inside a carrying case for easy portability to and from campsites and off-base locations. While not your cushy recliner at home, you can find some really comfortable seating options for your camping adventure such as a recliner, an arm chair and even a rocker.
The recliner camping chairs easily open up from a folded position into a sitting position with a detachable foot rest for your feet. Many of these fold-out recliners even have two positions – a chair with a foot rest and a reclining position which can lock into position to avoid chair collapse.
Many of the camping chairs that fold up are oversized for comfort and maneuverability while maintaining easy portability for travel. The rocker is almost exactly like the arm chair except for the fact that it comes with two rocking mechanisms which can be snapped onto the bottom of the chair. So actually these rocking camping chairs are dual-purpose as both a chair and as a rocker should you have one of those nights where you want to sit by the fire and rock to your heart's content.
Some of these folding camping chairs are just the basics with no arm rests, just the back and seat. However, many of them have the arm rests which are adjustable based on your height and also come with drink holders. Some of these chairs, rockers and recliners may also come with Velcro detachable head rests which resemble a pillow and can be removed if you do not want it. Of course, you do not even have to purchase a recliner just to get the foot rest as there are even arm chairs that come with them.
The versatility of these camping chairs is what makes them such an easy sell to customers plus the fact that they are, for the most part, affordable. With water-resistant materials, strong steel frames, drink holders and even the colors and designs they come in, you have plenty of seating options when it comes to your camping chairs. Be sure to test them out in the store before you buy them to ensure their comfortability.
