Benefits to Staying in an RV Camp Ground

2016/7/26 14:53:53

If you have or are thinking about purchasing an RV, you have probably already put some consideration to the possibility of camping at an RV camp ground. Purchasing or renting an RV camping site may seem strange to you when compared to traditional camping. Perhaps you worry that you will lose touch with traditional camping in tents and eating food cooked over a roaring camp fire if you chose to stay at an RV camp ground. However, there are many great things about RV camp grounds that you may not know about.

Community

RV camp grounds are like little communities. Many people rent camp sites year round and stay there throughout the entire season. These people get to know other people who stay there regularly, and a friendship is formed. The people who park their RV’s close to one another feel just like neighbors, and the entire park has a neighborly feel to it. If you choose to stay at an RV camp ground, know that, unlike camping in the woods somewhere, you will have neighbors that care about you and that you can socialize with.

Amenities

Camping in the great outdoors can seem like a wonderful idea—until you do it! How many people would actively give up running water, toilets, showers, mattresses, and privacy? Why should people have to give all of that up to go on a fun vacation with their family? If you love hiking and spending time in nature, you do not need to sleep in a tent to do so. You can park your RV in an RV camp ground and still visit all of the trails and local attractions. Even remote areas in mountain chains that cater to campers have RV camp grounds. You really can stay at the park at night and still feel like a traditional camper during the day! Except this way, you can get more than just a baby wipe shower!

Security

Some people worry about camping because of the many horror stories out there. People fear wild animals as well as crazed people living in the woods. It can be difficult to get to sleep when you are listening to every twig snapping and every leaf rustling. However, an RV camp ground is never one hundred percent quiet, so you will not be woken up by a twig snapping. In addition, many are located near police barracks and others have their own gate that closes at night. Plus, there is safety in numbers!

So before choosing to venture off into the great unknown with a tent on your back and a canteen on your shoulder, think about taking an RV to an RV camp ground instead!
