Basic Camp Gear For Your Luxury Camping Getaway

2016/7/26 16:33:35

When people talk about luxury camping, what usually comes to mind is a very expensive, extravagant, and totally overrated camping activity. Some people may even frown at the thought of luxury camping because they imagine you’ll be living in a high-power trailer that’s complete with all the amenities that you have at home, and everything else that pertains to your comfort and whim; yet that’s not always the case. There are those who can’t picture out a luxury camping activity without thinking of plush velvet lounge, outdoor folding camp chairs made of mahogany, a bubbling bath infused with fragrant oils, a sauna, and your own personal chef to cook for the whole family. This is not always the case. For those who don’t know what luxury camping is all about, it involves splurging a little more on things that are not necessarily essentials for survival outdoors, but having them gives you a sense of security and added comfort. It’s not always about sipping a pina colada outside your tent on a hot summer day while getting a lovely tan because luxury camping can be a rewarding and fun experience as well.

Think about it this way, throwing a satellite, a GPRS device, a camping oven for your cakes and pastries, perhaps a separate shower stall just for you, and bringing along a memory foam mattress for your sleeping comfort entails luxury living outdoors, but without being overrated. So here’s to glamping’ and the basics that you need to take with you in order to make your camping experience an unforgettable and fun getaway this year. The very first thing that you need to have is shelter or a trusty roof over your head. You can either bring one of those family tents, a camp trailers, or coleman pop up campers that are complete with basic living amenities. Don’t forget your comfy sleeping gear and heating equipment to make your camping experience toasty especially in the middle of a harsh winter.

You also need to have a satellite television antenna especially if you think you can’t just do away without watching the latest episodes of your favorite TV shows. Hey, you’re camping in luxury so you might as well do it full swing. Just don’t forget to provide a receiver for the antenna or else your satellite what-not would be of no use to you in the woods. Add a handheld GPS to your list of must-haves. It doubles up as a map, plus it’s up-to-date so you won’t get lost in the woods. Wise campers prefer the benefits of a bug zapper better than slathering on foul-smelling insect repellent lotions.

Plus you can’t be too sure if that trusty insect repellent lotion of yours works for gnats, midges, bees, and other bugs aside from mosquitoes. You may also bring along your laptop, a portable router for wireless internet connection, a camping generator, and a fridge if you like it better than bringing a cooler with lots of ice. So those are just some of the things that you can bring with you to the campsite, enough to consider your vacation a luxury camping experience. You can still throw in other things depending on your needs or level of comfort. Enjoy your glamping experience!
