Packing Tips For the Ultimate Safari Trip!

2016/7/26 17:39:45

Making the decision to travel and do something different on the next vacation can be a big step but it can also be exciting and adventurous. There are many options to choose from if you are looking internationally from white water rafting, jungle treks or safari tours. One of the first steps is to identify what you are interested in and then check out the options that fall into those categories. The benefit about selecting something like a safari is that there are several different activities available, all wrapped up in the one event.

It is usually extremely helpful to work with a travel agency or company that specializes in these types of tours since they can help with the details for transportation and packaged events. Travelers can determine how long of a trip they want and agencies offer anywhere from 3 day to 7 day tour experiences. Of course, the longer you have in country, the more opportunities you have to take advantage of the different options.

Another benefit to working with an agency is that they will provide you with a detailed itinerary of your planned events so that you know when and how you are going to arrive in Uganda and the specific safari location. There is one more major detail that needs to be taken care of and that is how you are going to pack. Since safari adventures spend the majority of their time outside tracking and watching the animals in their natural habitat, it is important that the participants dress accordingly. You can use the Internet to search for packing tips or ask the tour agency if they have a list of suggestions. Some of the basic items for the Uganda countryside include loose fitting shirts and shorts that provide protection from the elements but don't hug the body where heat and sweat will be trapped inside. Your clothes should be made of material that breathes, is comfortable and blends in with the surroundings just so you can get in the spirit!

Due to the hot sun and its rays, a hat that covers both the front forehead and back of the neck along with strong sun block protection to prevent a burn ruining your vacation. Bugs are common to every location especially during the summer months so it helps to know if you are fighting mosquitoes or something bigger so you can have the proper kind of repellant on hand. You will probably want an unscented brand so that you do not attract any unwanted attention and if it has a sunblock ingredient included then you can use this for both purposes. Now that you have taken care of the body, head and skin you don't want to forget the eyes so bring along a sturdy pair of sunglasses as protection. Since you are there to have a good time and create memories other items to bring along would be a camera, small flashlight, utility knife and a secure pouch to store identification and money. All of these can be carried in a weatherproof bag that fits comfortably over the shoulders and can be carried for long distances when it comes time to hike through the rough terrain.

Safari tours are an exciting time to see nature and wildlife at its fullest and the more prepared you are then the more fun you will have exploring 7 days Uganda safari tour and all the hidden treasure it has to offer.
