Trekking Camps in India – Taking you a step closer to nature

2016/7/26 17:40:43

Many tour operators are offering trekking camps India packages of late, in a bid to take the tourists as close as possible to nature. These camps follow a rigorous schedule of trekking, bird watching, nature trails, safaris, mountain climbing, rock climbing and many more. These tours are the perfect chance for you to get away from the maddening pace of your urban lives and get introduced to a world that is incredibly beautiful and pollution free. The basic idea behind these tours is that you will set up a camp on the foothills of a mountain and stay there during the night, while in the day you will participate in trekking and other activities.

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are some of the most preferred areas when it comes to choosing trekking camps India. Siyat, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Nainital, Viraatkhal, Corbett, Kanatal, New Tehri, Mashorba, Shimla, Manali, Shoghi, Kanechi, Chail, Gunjarpur, Chandra Tal Trek and Indrahar Paass Trek are some of the areas where camps are conducted. The Himalayan trekking camp is also highly preferred by tourists as this takes them to some of the less-travelled trails of the great peaks. Apart from just trekking, these camps include a list of activities like adventure sports activities, jeep safaris, angling, wildlife tours etc. to keep tourists entertained all through the duration of the tour.

If tourists want to travel through the great Trans Himalayan passes on road, they have to opt for the Ladakh motorbike tour. Many travel operators are now offering bike tours to Ladakh and Leh as the tourism potential of this place has been growing phenomenally in the recent past. Known as Little Tibet, Ladakh has some of the highest passes that are a pleasure to ride through on bikes. The longest road in this sector runs along for close to 5600m and it is indeed a great experience to ride through this stretch on bikes along with friends. If you are a bike enthusiast, it is highly recommended that you try this experience at least once in your lifetime. You will never regret it.

If you are choosing a Ladakh motorbike tour, ensure that you travel between the months of June and September as this is the time when the climate will be favourable for you to ride your bikes. These tours are usually available for 14 or 21 days. In a 14 day tour, you might have to travel continuously for close to 10 days; hence you need to be physically fit to sustain the long haul.  You need to ensure that you carry all the relevant accessories and travel gear along with you, so that you don't face any discomfort midway. The cost of the bike tours package is based on the duration of the journey, distance covered, number of persons travelling etc.
