Nestled amongst forests of beautiful indigenous trees one can find of South Africa's best kept secrets- Timbavati Safari Lodge. The lodge is a paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers, as well as enthusiasts of adventure sports. Timbavati Safari Lodge's colourful, traditional Ndebele rondavels (hut-like buildings) are spread out amongst massive shady trees and offer our guests beautiful and clean en-suite accommodation in a truly African fashion. Our 35 rooms can sleep up to 120 persons and are ideal for casual stay, corporate functions, conferences, weddings, tours and many other special occasions.

Timbavati Safari Lodge is situated on the border between Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces. Ideally, it is also very close to the world-famous Kruger National Park. The Lodge is strategically located to offer both local and international visitors an array of choices for adventures, activities and Safaris.

Guests can relax in our comfy lounge or stretch out under the African sun on one of our pool side lounges. There are also wonderful opportunities to enjoy a variety of extreme adventure sports for the brave and strong. These include activities such as white water rafting, paintball, micro light flights, hot air ballooning and much, much more.

As for the dining experience at Timbavati, expect to be amazed. Breakfast has a full continental and cooked option. There is an expansive variety and selection of fruit, cereal, fresh yogurt, baked items, cold meats and cheeses for breakfast.  Ice cold juice, tea and coffee is also available. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, whereas dinner is served as a buffet in true African style in the open-aired traditional boma or alongside our pool, only an arm's length away. Drink in the flavours of the mouth-watering African cuisine whilst eating under the stars with the sounds of nature in the background and the smell of wood fires burning in the center. Dinner is served in three courses beginning with starters, followed by a main with Dessert to finish. Our generous selection of wine provides the perfect complement to your meal. We change our menu daily to ensure that guests staying for more than one night don't eat the same meal twice.
