Why You Should Visit Minnesota CampGround

Whether you are interested in hiking, fishing, boating, or simply spending time with family, visit Minnesota Campground around the state of Minnesotaand stay at Soo Line Trail Campground. Take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the 148 mile long Soo Line ATV trail running from Moose Lake to Cass Lake. You will find yourself lost in the fall colors as you ride through Hill River State Forest, Bowstring State Forest, and Chippewa National Forest.

Not an ATV rider? No problem! You can always bring out your snowmobiles and stay in one of their rustic suites at Soo Line Trail Campground from Friday to Sunday throughout the winter months. During this time you will find an 11 mile stretch of snowmobile trails located between Onamia and Isle, Minnesota. The ATV season runs from April 1 to November 30, meaning snowmobile season begins December 1 and goes until March 31.

Onamia and the Mille Lacs area also have many great attractions and dining to enjoy. Start out your days at Onamia's Cedarwood Family Restaurant with daily breakfast specials. For those looking for some afternoon site seeing, check out the Mille Lacs Indian Museum and maybe a stop in at Happy's Drive-In to grab lunch and an ice cream cone. In the evening you can cast your luck at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs or catch the latest flick at Grand Makwa Cinema. If you are more active, head up the road to Isle Bowl & Pizza.

Whatever your plans the Minnesota Campground and the Mille Lacs area is a wonderful weekend getaway destination! If your idea of camping more closely resembles taking your entire house and duplicating it within the confines of an RV, or at the very least, if you want your tenting experience to include electricity, running water and a nearby shower, then Soo Line Trail Campground is exactly what you are looking for. For families with young children, there are daily activities up at the camp. Adults will enjoy the driving range and karaoke events every weekend.

For the "big kids" in between, Minnesota Campground offers an indoor bike/skate park and rock climbing wall. Disc golf, mini golf and an indoor arcade are also on the list of possible activities, but on a hot summer day, the biggest draw by far is the chance to tube down the river. Rent an inner tube from the office, or bring your own river-ready flotation device. Lather on the sun screen, grab a few cold beverages for the trip, and wait for the truck to come pick you up. Trailer passes may also be purchased at the office, and are good for the day. The truck and trailer combination will transport you to the start of the run.

For a bit more adventure, nearby canoe rentals are available, as is a longer tube run, but neither are directly associated with this campground. Also, keep in mind that this is considered a family campground, so quiet hours are strictly enforced.
