The most important things to remember are waterproof tents, sleeping bags, clothes, first aid kit, flashlights, fire starting tools, food and water. Your tent(s) should be big enough to fit one extra person besides those actually planning to sleep in them. This gives everyone elbow room and prevents irritation caused by cramped spaces. Make sure you have extra batteries for flashlights and 2-way radios. Do not count on your cell phones for emergencies!
