Travel Australia in a Caravan

To travel Australia in a caravan conjures up imagery of romance and adventure, nights spent camping under the stars and seeing amazing and inspiring places.

The Advantages of Caravanning

Even though our population is small, Australia is a vast country. To really see this wonderful place and soak up the atmosphere of so many awesome locations, then travelling around Australia in a caravan makes a lot of sense.

When you fly from one destination to another you miss everything in between. After all, life is a journey, not a destination. Travelling should be thought of the same way. Some of the greatest gems are found literally in the middle of nowhere. Cities and towns have their allure, but so does the wilderness; the sight of an unspoilt beach, or a vast canyon with a turquoise river winding through the gorges.

From Kakadu to the Kimberley's, from Perth to Sydney, there is just so much to see. The very best way to see it all and not miss a thing is by road, with the comfort and luxury of a well-equipped caravan or motorhome.

Follow The Rim

One standard route to travel Australia by road is to follow the rim, or the coastline. It's the longest route, but one that will enable you to see so much more. Experienced travellers suggest going anti-clockwise around the country, starting in the south in summer time and travelling the northern areas in winter.

But don't forget to venture inland as well, as there is much more to Australia than its beautiful coast.

Why Having A Caravan Makes Sense

  • Instant accommodation

  • No paying for expensive hotels or struggling for sleep in a backpackers

  • Camp under the stars wherever you choose to stop

  • No endless waiting in airports and queues

  • You can take with you more of the items you love

  • It's a relaxing and inspiring way to travel

  • A caravan offers much more security than a tent, and far more comfortable

As you can see there are many advantages to travel Australia in a caravan. Australia is a vast country with so much to explore and see and do. Flying places in a plane just doesn't make sense when you can see it all by road in the comfort of your own mobile accommodation. So what are you waiting for? There is a whole nation out there just waiting to be explored.
