Be it "The Summit" a documentary of 2008 summit expedition or "The Everest" a movie based on the unfortunate of 1996 fatal accident that left many people dead in the womb of these beautiful mountains. However, the question that arises here, how do people fail in the summit expedition despite of the support of best adventure travel companies? Some say they failed because of lack of skills other say the climate didn't support them.

Here are a few reasons given by best adventure travel companies on the failure of the attempts. Let's take a look.

More than 1000 climbers get ready each year hoping to reach the summit. However, the success ratio is really less. Interestingly, it is quite difficult to come up with a reason of these accidents. It can be variables such as experience or health conditions or weather conditions. Moreover, many people have died due to high altitude and exhaustion in comparison with other reasons. When climbers sit down due to exhaustion, they become cold climbers in a while and that make their survival difficult in such high altitude.

A very small percentage of fatalities had happened due to heart attacks, avalanche or crevasse. There are many experienced folks who died on the summit due to unfortunate reasons, but the majority of people died there due to inexperience. Apparently, Sherpa will be there to climb by the side of these mountaineers, but he cannot guide them when to drink water, how to deal when their hands are getting cold or how to mind the steps.

Another reason given by one of the best adventure travel companies is the cheap operators. In order to climb the Everest the average cost is some $45,000, while some of the mountaineers get in touch with local Kathmandu companies to save some money, seems like they are on legal suicide mission. It has been noticed that hardly any of the clients have died on Everest due to the big operators with high success rate of the summit. Shoddy companies will have inadequate oxygen, lack of basic facilities at the camps and lesser chances of any rescue operation. We cannot deny that the prices are too high and accepting that can save anyone's life. Big operators give vigorous training that makes mountaineers strong so that they can deal with all the conditions in such high altitude zone.

So there we have a few reasons why people are unable to summit the magnificent mountains. If anyone who wants to attempt the highest peak of the world they should get proper physical training, shaping themselves and have to push themselves harder than ever.
