How to Make Your Own Ration Pack

Ration Packs are used by the armed forces, on camps and on hikes. Ration Packs are made up of foods you can eat that won't go stale quickly.

Steps

  1. 1 Go out shopping for food you can put in your pack. Once you bought all your ingredients, take the food you need for one day.
  2. 2 Separate the food into different meal times of the day. The times you may use are breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, after dinner snacks and a couple of snacks for throughout the day.
    • It is good to switch up your meals because it would be boring and make you sick of the same meal every time you go to make one.
  3. 3 Take out the vacuum appliance and arrange your meals into small packs so they do not take up unnecessary space. If there is a bag of rice or noodles take a small pin and pop it so the air will escape the package and will make the package smaller
  4. 4 Once you have finished Step 4 put the packaged meals into storage or your bag. If this is for home use then mark the bags and put them in a bigger plastic bag or box. You have now made your ration pack.
    • If this is for camping or disasters, it's best to go to a military surplus store.
