Look Keo Carbon Pedals Review And Highlights

2016/7/25 11:08:50

The Look Keo Carbon pedal embodies the perfect balance between weight and performance. Twenty years ago when Look first invented the clip less pedal it then too was the benchmark for all others that followed. At one time Shimano pedals could use Look made cleats and you can see today similarities again with Shimano's use of a Look cleat look alike (no pun intended) in their SPD-SL design.

With the Keo's launch in 2005, Look re-established themselves as the pedal authority. Developing a pedal with an injection molded carbon body, famous Look bearings, ultra low stack height, and all at 115grams/pedal.

Look fans have been waiting for such an innovation. Where as in the past, Look pedals were always heavier than the competition, Look has set the bar for ultra light full carbon body pedals!

The injection molded carbon body is light and stunning to look at. The resulting stack height on this body is considerably reduced. The body is mated to a cromoly axle and runs silky smooth on the best bearings in the industry – or so we think.

This ultra low stack height is accompanied by a new cleat. The design is slightly smaller than the original delta cleat and has the addition of Teflon to reduce stick and noise. We think the new cleat is perfect and there are still no hot spot issues on your sole. In addition to the Teflon and slight reduction in size, Look has added a cleat memory tab. This part stays stuck to your shoe sole and makes changing cleats much simpler.

The end result is a pedal/cleat combination that is light, quiet, stunning in appearance, easy to clip in, and out and reasonably priced. We are hard pressed to find a better product.
