You should always make sure that you have clothing suitable for cold temperature. No matter what the season there is always the chance of frost and snow every single night. Keeping this in mind bring all clothing required for colder temperatures. Whether that’s enough layers to keep you warm while you cycle or ski gloves to keep your hands warm and in control of your bike. Carry extra clothing in a backpack when mountain biking in Wyoming. Remember to make sure that you have a waterproof backpack and clothing.

Maps are an absolute must when you are cycling in these areas. Some of the trails are fairly isolated and unused. You may not be able to find someone to give you directions for miles and miles. For this reason plan your ride carefully, get the advice of locals and experienced riders who have been here before. When mountain biking in Wyoming make sure you bring rations and enough water with you. Energy bars and rehydration gels are easy to transport and can be real lifesavers.

Both these areas offer plenty of rides that differ in length and difficulty. Some can be easily completed in less than a day while others might take you the whole day to get through.

Another Wyoming mountain biking area worth visiting is the Soda Lake and Spring Creek Park. The trails wind through coniferous forests, sagebrush and aspen groves; giving you a variety of landscapes and views.
