2016/7/16 16:31:51

There is a widespread misconception that saltwater anglers should own a boat. Because of this, some would think that owning a boat is a requirement before anyone could go fishing. In fact, people expect fishers to own a high-end boat, as seen in magazine articles. This discourages a lot of fishers.

On many shores, more anglers are growing. They aren't limited by a lack of boat. They may be so creative because of their lack of boat. Their ingenuity can be seen in a lot of their tackle boxes that are now seen everywhere. Some of the unique tools are being copied by manufacturers and claimed as "original."

It is a myth than all saltwater anglers should own a boat. Because of this, some people think you need a boat in order to fish. Like in magazines, people expect fishers to own a nice boat. This discourages a lot of fishers.

There's a less popular community of anglers growing. There are no limitations to this. The truth is, not having a boat might just be the reason they are innovative and creative. Their innovations can be found in common tackle boxes. Some of these unique and effective fishing tools are now copied by manufacturers, labeled "original," and sold in stores.

Pier fishing takes mastery and skill that not everyone possesses. They have intuitive senses of where to take their line. If fisherman don't know where the fish are located, they can't get bites. How this skill is acquired is a mystery.

Though the techniques of pier anglers are odd, they land some great catches. Handmade devices are sprinkled on their pier. They are designed to keep live bait just below the water's surface. The "two rod approach" and kite rigs are also commonly used. In the double rod technique, a small rod is used solely for the bait so that the fisherman can use the heavier one to struggle and pull the fish in.

The biggest difference is the purpose for catching big fish. It would be a rare occasion when pier catchers would return a catch because they do it for dinner, not just to take pictures. They want to showcase their fish in their bellies! Pier fisherman have an undeniable skill and boldness.
