Moraira's historical roots as a fishing town are still clear as its fish market is among the preferred in the Costa Blanca area and the port has a few fishing vessels in operation. A popular tourist destination

for those with Moraira Rentals the area is also renowned for the growing of Muscatel grapes for locally grown wine making industry.

In reality the citrus groves and vineyards that carpet a lot of the landscape surrounding the towns of Teulada-Moraira.

Moraira is a tiny Spanish coastal city, an old fishing hamlet that has become part of the village of Teulada in the Marina Alta comarca, the towns are 80km north of Alicante and 100km south of Valencia. A holiday maker resort on the Costa Blanca strip, with eight km of shore backed by mountains and vineyards.

There's very small remains of the fishing cottages that in the past were part of the port, that serviced the city of Teulada which stands at the head of the valley. Though to save the heritage of the area, the Teulada council passed by-laws shielding the abounding pine trees and limiting the height of building.

The city now has a privately held quay built in 1985, controlled by Club Nutico Moraira.

Moraira is also viewed as a popular culinary destination, with lots of caf閟 both conventional and world. There are a few beaches at Teulada-Moraira, La Cala is perhaps the quietest of all of the beaches as it is tricky to approach, either by walking over the cliff or by sea.

In the guise of a shell it's a tiny inlet. The water is clear you can walk up to the old watch tower of Cap d'Or. However the L'Ampolla beach which is at the foot of the castle is made from golden sand its the biggest in the area and with each everything from hammocks to the red cross.

The Beach of Platgetes is half and half rocks and sandy beach with an interesting promenade, for people that enjoy underwater diving then the best beach would be the rocky and quiet L'Andrago Beach.

If you followed the shore from the beach the area is completely full of cliffs and perspectives where you can simply watch the electrifying way the sea reputedly changes colour from Blue to colours of green. The economy of Moraira is founded upon tourism. Stringent planning rules have forestalled the additional development of the high rise buildings and that makes your Moraira Rentals more enjoyable.
