Best Bass Fishing Techniques

When it comes to bass fishing or any type of fishing of course we all want to catch great amounts of fish.  I know we talk about a bad day of fishing is better then a good day at work but of course a great day of fishing is even better.  The key is to have an idea and to make sure you have all the right equipment.  The big key to the equipment we are talking about is making sure it is in good working order.

A big part of keeping your day perfect is keeping your feet dry.  This of course can be accomplished by purchasing a great pair of boots that are water proof.  You can for the most part buy these boots at sporting supply stores or your bigger retail stores.  They will come in different heights and that decision really is and will be determined by the depths of waters you plan on walking in.

When you want to go bass fishing you want to make sure your rod is clean and in perfect working order.  You can buy special pads that can be used to scrub your rods and keep them clean.  Its important to keep the handles clean so you can make sure yo have a great grip while fishing.  In many cases a good idea is using sand paper on your cork handles.  By doing a few little things not only will your gear continue to work well but it will also continue to look good as well.  The worst thing that can happen is your equipment failing while in the middle of a fishing trip.  Your bass fishing trip will be much better if you got good functioning equipment.

Another great tool is something like a GPS or a palm pilot or something like that.  The purpose for something like this is to store important information like conditions and great fishing spots.  The more info you can keep will help you remember the things you need for next time.  You can also use a palm pilot for many other things other then just fishing information.  You never know how your fishing day will go and it is great to have the ability to store as much info as possible.

Another very important thing to put on the list when planning your bass fishing trip is a good first aid kit.  You can never predict when you or someone else is going to get hurt and possibly need the contents of a first aid kit.  If you decide to take a day and spend it by yourself fishing you should at least make sure someone know where you will be.  Also let them know what time you plan on coming home so that if you dont show up then maybe someone can come looking for you.

If you have any gadgets make sure you have spare batteries and make sure the present ones are working.  If possible have access to a working cell phone if there is service.  Its really about taking the time to be organized so that you can keep on fishing.  Your bass fishing trip will work out well as long as you have every thing in order so that catching a fish becomes reality.
