It can set in the sun and be ready in a couple of hour but after it sets out and gets really stinky it will be ready to start catching the big catfish.

Cut Bait is another good catfish bait. You should check your state laws to make sure which caught fish can be used as cut fish. This is where the caught fish is cut in pieces and put on the hook. This is a good bait and does attract catfish.
