2. The Palomar fishing rig knot
The Palomar fishing knot was designed specially to tie fishing rig leaders to the fishing hook. You will use this knot over and over again. This knot has the same purpose as the Triline knot of which we will knot discuss in this article.
(2.a) Step number one in tying a Palomar knot is to release some line out of your fishing reel or cut off about 24 inches of line from your line spool to make a fishing rig leader. next fold up the end of the line so you end up with a double line about 6 to 8 inches in length, then slide it through the eyelet in the fishing hook.
(2.b) Step number two in tying your Palomar fishing knot is to tie a overhand knot with the leader line or the line that is coming from your fishing reel, and the free end of the line.
(2.c) Step number three in tying your Palomar fishing knot is to feed the hook through the loop you just made with the overhand knot.
(2.d) Step number four in tying your Palomar knot is to pull the overhand knot tight and then pull your fishing rig line or the line coming from your fishing reel tight.
