Secrets of a Champion: A Review for the Modern Angler
Kevin Van Dam's new book is titled, SECRETS OF A CHAMPION
I have read most of the book, and I really like it. The book is written for the average fisherman who has some knowledge of the sport for the most part.
The first 7 chapters are about specific types of baits and ways to fish them as well as innovative ways to rig them, the use of trailer hooks on each, and fine tuning the baits and the presentations.
Chapters 8 through 11 talk about the proper gear to use for each type of presentation and things you can do to make changes and tweaks to improve performance. Also a chapter on Boat Organizaion.
Chapters 12 to 16 are about learning how to fish, and what methods to use, and how to make these methods work for you.
The Final Chapter is about Kevins Win in the Bass Masters Classic.
I think all will enjoy this book, and will find it to be of use in improving even the most avid tournament fishermans catch.
