This week in my underwater lure test feature we have the Death Shimmer Spinnerbait from Law Lure Co. If you glance quickly, you might not see a difference between the Death Shimmer and any other spinnerbait. The tweak lies in the wire arm holding the spinner blade. It's twisted and bent into many "U" shapes. According to designer Rich Lau, this change creates more water resistance as you retrieve, causing the lure to shimmy and vibrate and flash more than any other spinnerbait. I can attest that it does so based on my pool test, but it remains to be seen whether this innovative touch will translate into more fish. Let me know what you think.
