Whammy Bars on Bass Guitars: Functionality & Rarity

While some bass guitars do have whammy bars, also known as tremolo bars, it is less common than on electric guitars. This is because the low pitch and tension of bass strings make them less suitable for the vibrato effect that a whammy bar provides.
