Carhartt Mens Quick Duck Woodward Bib Overall

Carhartt Overall Bib and me dreaming to go fishing. Awesome pockets!!!

At first, I thought that I was not the the bib overall type of a guy. So, my expectation was on high.

When I got the package with the Carhartt Bib Overall inside, I was surprised with how light it was. Got back to work and opened the package to see it. It did really look great!

Comfort

Right away it did fit well over my working pants. It did not make any bulks of fabric around the legs or waist.

Another very positive point came from the waist buttons - so easy and quick to undo. It facilitates the bib main body progress throughout my waist until the right position. It was very easy to adjust the shoulder straps and it felt very comfortable.

Since this is the Canada’s Capital Region, the winter showed us its claws with some nice -10C (windchill about -15) in some days. On days like that, normally I wear long johns to work in the yard and parking lot. With the bib overall there was no need for long johns. I felt protect against the cold and wind, mobile (freedom of movements) and comfortable. It is warm, so I think that it is good to use for fishing during fall, winter and daly spring - which makes up for a good 7 months in my area.

Appearance

I was pleased to see that it was in the black colour - first of many positive points - what is the colour of my working uniform (I am a facility manager). It has the professional look that I need in my job. Also, how the chest area and shoulder straps are designed allows my company logo to still be visible. I’ve tried it with my both my work boots and snow boots at really fits nicely. It covers them up nicely, what in my opinion, gives a slick look instead of the normal sloppy look that work boots have when we don’t tie the laces up to the shanks’ top. Especially in the case of my winter boots (they have more volume that the work boots) opening the side buttons in the legs made it easy to fit without strenuous manoeuvres. Easy to put in, easier to take it out.

Construction

Curious by nature, I checked all the the seams close to the buckles, cos and legs. The reinforced seams were very visible and solid (I tried to rip it to see how strong it was). I was quite impressed with the construction, especially the details of pockets and hammer straps. There are so many pockets to sort and organize the tools. Right away I thought about fishing - I like the idea of small tackle boxes - and with the amount of pockets available, this is just awesome. The larger front pocket fits my iPad - I never brought it to fishing, but since I have the place to store it, I can use my apps to guide me better in the water.

I’ve got converted from a guy that never liked bibs to a fan. Even better because this gear I can use for great days for Fishing!!!
