Fishing the Grand River: A Fly Fisherman's Experience (Elora to Fergus)

like to spend my Sunday mornings when visiting my mom, in nature's theater....The Grand river, between, Elora and Fergus, has some pretty scenery, and some VERY fishable water.   I don't get to fish it very often, but when I do, I'll  grab my 5 weight, and some streamers and dries, and make a 4 hour foray on this sweet flow.  The water (thanks to a cool spring), was in the high 50's, so, the usually active smallies, were almost inactive, whereas the brownies were agressive as can be. No real big honkin' fish to show you, just a bunch of scrappy little  tigers, and they never fail to disappoint!  Hope your Sunday, out in God's auditorium was as enjoyable as mine was....
