LADY FISH

Lady Fish are easy to catch, and they do give a good fight. You can catch this fish manly any time of the day. You can catch these Lady Fish off a pier, or right along the surf. I caught these fish at Sharky's Pier in Venice FL, or Thom's Adam Bridge in Englewood FL. The best three ways to catch this fish is to use GOT-CHA lures, D.O.A. C.A.L. jerk baits or use live shrimp. The color of the GOT-CHA lure is a chartruse head, silver body with red treble hooks, size 1oz. The size of the D.O.A. C.A.L. jerk bait is 4" long (color is green back), with a white D.O.A. C.A.L. 3/8oz. jig head. NOTE: (with this jerk bait, I have also have caught Snook and Trout on It as well). What you can use to put on the shrimp is a 2/0 owner circle hook. Once you have a fish on the line, you do not need to set the hook, just reel It in. The leader line you can is SEAGUARE 100% FLUOROCARBON LEADER line, anywhere from 25lb to 30lb test which is fine. The presentation using these lures is at a fast speed, because, you need a faster retrieve to move a lure at a pace that will interest the Lady Fish. Some Fisherman also use smaller Lady Fish for live bait. They either fish with them alive or they cut them up in chunks for bait. When using Lady Fish for live bait, watch for Dolphins around, because they will eat the Lady Fish. Sometimes Dolphins interfere when fishing, but they are great to watch. So if you want to have fun catching Lady Fish, and use them for bait, try this method. SO GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY FISHING.
